The symbolism of the Ross flag design has been discovered and new evidence proves the US Stars and Stripes is nearly 70 years older than known. Found on Scottish Jacobite coat buttons that symbolized the deposed house of Stuart. Sources are found in the British Parliament Archives.

The date on the picture is 1893 but it says she died in 1838 69.124.48.137 (talk) 12:17, 9 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I altered the caption to hopefully make it clear that the date refers to the painting's creation, not the depicted year. --Pinchme123 (talk) 16:39, 9 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Lead paragraphs

[edit]

The lead paragraphs that follow paragraph two cover intricate details about flags but not much detail about the woman that this article is about. Would it make sense to move some or all of this information into the body? I ask because I'm not that familiar with the subject. If no one objects, I'll make the change in a few days. — Paper Luigi TC 05:50, 11 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
